The biggest ASTARTA’s grain silo in Semenivka began operations

ASTARTA has commissioned its biggest grain silo complex in Semenivka, Poltava region. In early July Semenivka grain silo with total capacity of 120 thousand tons started operations. The facilities are determined to cover storage needs of several ASTARTA’s subsidiaries and neighboring farmers.

The new complex consists of 17 grain storage silos, 9 intake grain silos for moisty grain and advanced handling facilities. Semenivka grain silo is a unique for the Group as it can run 7 different operations simultaneously, because there are 3 intake lines with installed capacity of 150 tons per hour each, 2 energy-efficient and productive grain dryers Shtral 18000 FR and offloading infrastructure both on railway (2 lines for 27 wagons each) and road transport.

Silo construction process сontinued for nine months with the Capex of $19,2 million.

With the commissioning of Semenivka grain silo complex, ASTARTA is finalizing its grain storage investment program, started in 2015. The Company now operates 7 modern silos with total capacity of 550 thousand tons in Poltava, Vinnytsia and Khmelnytsky regions.
