The spring planting campaign has officially started across all agricultural subsidiaries. Fieldwork began with sugar beet sowing in the Poltava region.
The projected structure of the crop mix is as follows: sugar beet — 32 kha, soybeans — 56 kha, winter wheat — 39 kha, sunflower — 23 kha, winter rapeseed — 15 kha, and corn for grain — 20 kha. Organic farming covers 2 kha. The exact acreage will be updated on completion of the planting season.
“This year’s planting campaign takes place under challenging conditions: increased soil moisture caused by abnormal frosts and deep soil freezing requires close attention from agronomists. They adapt cultivation technologies and closely monitor field operations to improve production efficiency. Operational control is ensured through innovative agritechnologies, including AgriChain Machinery, AgriChain Scout, and AgriChain Barn. Combined with the upgraded machinery fleet, these tools enable a rapid response to weather and technological challenges, ensuring the stability and quality of the planting campaign,” said Astarta’s Chief Operating Officer, Vasyl Chmelyuk.
