Astarta’s agricultural subsidiaries have completed the 2026 spring planting campaign.
“This year’s spring campaign took place under difficult and unstable climate-related conditions. Due to the cold spring, the start of fieldwork was delayed by almost two weeks. Additional challenges included excessive soil moisture and soil freezing caused by abnormal winter frosts, as well as a high number of rainy days throughout the campaign. Under such conditions, flexible planning and the adaptation of cultivation technologies to external factors were critically important. Even under tight weather windows, teams across all business units acted swiftly and in a coordinated manner to complete spring field operations and finalize sowing on time,” noted Andriy Zahorulko, Director of Crop Production, Logistics, and Mechanization at Astarta.
The final crop structure for 2026 is as follows: sugar beets – 32 kha; soybeans – 56 kha; winter wheat – 38 kha; sunflower – 24 kha; rapeseeds – 14 kha; corn – 23 kha; and organic crops – 2 kha.
Astarta’s agribusiness teams are currently focused on monitoring crop conditions and maintaining phytosanitary control. Active preparations for the upcoming early grains harvesting campaign are also underway.
