Astarta was included in the list of companies that take the most systematic approach to supporting and integrating veterans after their return from service.
The ranking was prepared by Forbes Ukraine. The selection was made from 240 companies with over 600 employees. Criteria included the presence of veteran communities, support for physical and mental recovery, inclusiveness, opportunities for retraining, and more. Ultimately, a list of 30 Ukrainian businesses best prepared to help veterans return to professional life was compiled.
Currently, 135 veterans work at Astarta, while over 600 of our colleagues are serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. To support them after their service, the company has implemented a comprehensive program covering both the adaptation period and the transition back to civilian careers.
These initiatives are managed by Astarta’s Veteran Support and Integration Department, which assists veterans in quickly returning to professional activities while considering each individual’s needs.
Key focus areas include:
- Physical health support: rehabilitation, preventive medical check-ups, sports activities;
- Mental health support for veterans and their families;
- Legal assistance;
- Education and retraining: training, professional development, acquiring new skills;
- Creating an inclusive environment, among others.
Astarta is also part of a coalition of large Ukrainian businesses that have signed the “Veteran-Friendly Business Principles” memorandum. We operate under the principle of “nothing about veterans without veterans” and strive to build an environment where military experience is valued, and returning to work is seen as a path for growth. We believe that fostering a culture of support for Ukrainians returning from the front line must be a priority for both business and the country!
