Astarta completed the 2025 processing season, which became the 26th in its history and the 168th in the history of its Zhdanivskyi Sugar Plant — one of Ukraine’s longest-operating sugar production facilities, established in December 1852.
Throughout the campaign, Astarta’s five sugar plants produced 361kt of sugar — similar to the 2024 output (380kt), despite unfavorable external conditions. The Company processed c.2.3mt of sugar beets grown in-house and supplied from third-party farmers.
The season was marked by high product quality that meets the most stringent consumer requirements. Among the Company’s partners are leading global brands which command the highest quality of ingredients.
Sugar yield was 15.56% — above the last year’s 14.96% and exceeded the average Ukrainian level of 15.19% according to Ukrsugar, the National Association of Sugar Producers, as of 01.01.2026.
Despite challenging weather conditions, particularly continuous rainfall, the coordinated and professional work of Astarta’s team ensured uninterrupted raw material supply and stable plant operations.
