
Astarta continues to publicly report on its achievements and financial results. In 1Q25 the Company’s consolidated revenues totalled EUR125m (-25% y-o-y) reflecting lower prices on certain products and sales volumes. EBITDA was EUR27m vs EUR29m in 1Q24 with EBITDA margin widening 4p.p. to 21%. Export sales of EUR73m contributed 59% of consolidated revenue in 1Q25 vs 69% in 1Q24.
Agriculture
Revenues decreased by 49% y-o-y to EUR37m on lower sales volumes. Exports generated 71% of the segment revenues in 1Q25 (-20pp y-o-y).
In mid-May Astarta’s agricultural subsidiaries have completed the 2025 spring sowing campaign, responding swiftly and effectively to the season’s challenging weather conditions.
The final crop structure for 2025 is as follows: sugar beets – 34kha (down by 12% y-o-y), soybeans – 56kha (down by 21% y-o-y), winter wheat – 46kha (down by 5% y-o-y), sunflower – 29kha (up by 57% y-o-y), rapeseeds – 11kha (down by 8% y-o-y), corn – 14kha (almost tripled y-o-y) and organic crops – 2kha (remained unchanged y-o-y).
Sugar Production
Revenues decreased by 5% y-o-y to EUR41m on 12% y-o-y lower sugar prices and lower sales volumes of by-products which was somewhat compensated by 11% y-o-y higher sales volumes of sugar. Exports of sugar made up 47% of the segment’s revenues in 1Q25 (-4pp y-o-y).
By volume Astarta’s sugar exports accounted for 46% of total sugar sales or 36kt (+9% y-o-y). Almost half of this was exported by sea. The main export destinations in the 1Q25 were Libya, Israel and UAE.
Soybean Production
Revenues flat y-o-y at EUR29m. Exports contributed 92% of these vs 88% in 1Q24.
1Q25 soybean crushing volume stood at 63kt (+3% y-o-y).
Cattle Farming
1Q25 revenues grew by 26% y-o-y to EUR17m on slightly higher sales price. Milk sales at 31kt in 1Q25 (+1% y-o-y), all sold domestically.
Astarta’s average herd totaled 29k heads (+6% y-o-y). Unit milk yield averaged 29kg/day (+2% y-o-y) leading to 32kt milk output (+1% y-o-y).
Responsible Partnership Ecosystem (social impact projects)
Public-private partnerships are vital to Astarta’s success and Ukraine’s resilience. In 2025, the Company continued developing and scaling the Common Help Ukraine project, co-founded with the Charitable Foundation “Believe in Yourself.” This initiative brought together businesses, international organisations, and communities, with total charitable and humanitarian aid exceeding EUR35m since launch. The Company’s efforts are concentrated on: providing financial and educational grants to support regional entrepreneurship; supporting Resilience Centres that offer free psychological assistance to those affected by the war; and launching a new large-scale project “Active Longevity”.
