The 2025 spring planting campaign at Astarta is gaining momentum. The teams of the agricultural subsidiaries have already sown over 60% of the planned sugar beet areas and have commenced sunflower planting.

Minimal soil moisture reserves—caused by a lack of precipitation during the autumn-winter period—and a rapid spring warm-up required an agile adaptation of agrotechnology to make the most of short, favourable sowing windows.

In line with its sustainable farming model, Astarta has strategically and evenly allocated its planned sowing areas across key crops: sugar beet – 34kha; soybeans – 55kha (including 3kha under soybean seed), winter wheat – 46kha (including 3kha under winter wheat seeds), sunflowers – 28kha, winter rapeseeds – 13kha, corn – 13kha. The area under organic farming is 2kha. The final structure of the crop mix will be adjusted based on the actual outcomes of the planting campaign.

Thanks to seamless teamwork and effective agrotechnologies, the company navigates challenges confidently and lays a solid foundation for the future harvest. Once again, the Astarta team demonstrates that professionalism and agility in decision-making are key to a successful planting season—even under challenging conditions.
