The 2025 spring planting campaign at Astarta is gaining momentum. The teams of the agricultural subsidiaries have already sown over 60% of the planned sugar beet area and have commenced sunflower planting.
Low soil moisture reserves—caused by a lack of precipitation during the autumn-winter period—and a rapid spring warm-up required an agile adaptation of agrotechnology to make the most of short, favourable sowing windows.
In line with its sustainable farming model, Astarta has allocated acreage across its key crops as following: sugar beet – 34kha; soybeans – 55kha (including 3kha for soybean seeds), winter wheat – 46kha (including 3kha for wheat seeds), sunflowers – 28kha, winter rapeseeds – 13kha, corn – 13kha. The area under organic farming unchanged at 2kha. The exact acreage will be updated on completion of the planting season.
Thanks to seamless teamwork and advanced agrotechnologies, the Company navigates challenges with confidence and lays a solid foundation for the future harvest. Once again, the Astarta team demonstrates that professionalism and agility in decision-making are key to a successful planting season—even under challenging conditions.
