- Soybean processing
ASTARTA put into operation the second largest integrated soybean processing plant in Ukraine in Globyno (Poltava region) in early 2014. The installed crushing capacity is 700 tons of soybeans per day or approximately 220 000 tons annually. Annual production capacity is up to 160 000 tons of feeding high-protein toasted meal, 40 000 tons of soybean oil, and 9 000 tons of granulated shell. The plant also includes silos with a designed capacity of 42 000 tons, storage for finished goods, as well as all necessary engineering, road, and rail communications.
The plant is an important element in executing ASTARTA’s strategy aimed at sustainable development, vertical value chain integration, and diversification of business. A significant part of the raw material is produced on our own farms, and the plant energy is supplied by our biomass plant.
The complex has equipment supplied by leading manufacturers and certified in accordance with international standards, as well as water purification and air cleaning systems.
In the beginning of 2016, the Globynsky soybean processing plant successfully passed an integrated and comprehensive certification scheme for ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, and FSSC 22000 related to food and feed products. Then in 2017, the Globynsky soybean processing plant was certified according to ISO 50001 (energy management), and in 2018 Globynsky was also certified according to GMP+B2 feed products safety standards.
The plant’s final goods – soybean meal, soybean hydrated oil, and granulated soybean shell – have already gained a high reputation among domestic and international producers of poultry, livestock, and aquaculture products.
The plant is a positive contribution to the economic and social development of the Poltava region and provides more than 200 jobs.
