Viacheslav Chuk, the member of the holding’s Board of Directors and Astarta’s Chief Commercial Officer, continues to be active on the world’s leading communication platforms. Last week, he held a series of working meetings at the Munich Security Conference.
The Astarta team is grateful to the German government and the German Development Bank for their support and willingness to continue supporting Ukraine’s reconstruction projects. For the second year in a row, we have jointly implemented the regional entrepreneurship development project “Course to Independence”. Therefore, during the Munich working meetings with Niels Annen, the State Secretary of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), Svenja Schulze, the Federal Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development, and Roland Siller, the CEO of DEG, we discussed the results of the project and the prospects for scaling up such programmes in Ukraine. Representatives of the German government and DEG Bank also expressed their intention to develop cooperation with the private sector further, which is crucial in times of war.
In addition to Astarta’s social and economic impact projects, special attention was paid to the current state of Ukraine’s agricultural sector and the potential challenges facing Ukrainian agribusiness.
– During the meeting with Deborah Düring, the Bundestag Member, the current state of agricultural production was discussed: structure, ownership and management models, implementation of sustainable development principles and EU integration. “In a conversation with Jörg Kukies, the State Secretary for Financial Markets and EU Policy at the German Federal Ministry of Finance, I mentioned the need for war risk insurance instruments and spoke about the difficulty of accessing EU markets for our products,” added Viacheslav Chuk.
