Astarta’s agricultural subsidiaries completed the harvesting of early grain crops and winter rapeseed across 54kha. The total gross harvest amounted to approximately 256kt, including more than 210kt of wheat and 43kt of winter rapeseeds.
The Company’s average winter wheat yield amounted to 5.4 t/ha, while winter rapeseed yield – to 3.1 t/ha. The highest average was achieved at the Khmilnytske subsidiary in the Vinnytsia region, at 7.7 t/ha of winter wheat and 3.8 t/ha of winter rapeseeds.
“This year’s season was challenging due to a number of agro-climatic factors, including excessive moisture during the sowing campaign, winter frosts that affected some winter crops, a prolonged spring that shortened the growing season, the development of diseases in winter rapeseed, and hot weather in June during the critical grain-filling period. Under these circumstances, we focused on strict adherence to production technologies, continuous monitoring of crop conditions and timely adjustment of agronomic decisions”, says Andriy Zagorulko, the Director of Crop Production, Logistics and Mechanisation at Astarta.
At the same time, preparations for the next season are already underway across Astarta’s agricultural subsidiaries. Farmers are preparing the soil and sowing winter crops for the 2027 harvest.
