Astarta continues to implement modern agrotechnologies and renew its machinery fleet in response to current challenges. The company has purchased 12 BEDNAR TERRALAND TN 4000 D9R PROFI deep tillage cultivators, complete with 6 COMBO SYSTEM seed hoppers. The new equipment is already operating in the fields of Poltava, Khmelnytskyi, and Vinnytsia regions.

This investment marks a shift from traditional plowing to deep loosening. In the context of rising resource costs and climate change, this method of soil cultivation helps maintain soil fertility and ensures stable crop yields.

The new machinery will help retain moisture in the soil, reduce fuel consumption, and decrease the number of passes across the fields.

“This decision is a logical step towards sustainable farming for us, allowing us to move away from plowing without losing efficiency. We see it as a tool to preserve soil fertility and ensure stable production in the long term,” said Andriy Zahorulko, Director of the Crop Production, Logistics, and Mechanization Department.

“We believe in a long-term and fruitful partnership with Astarta. The beginning of our cooperation demonstrates that Ukrainian farmers prioritize efficiency and technological advancements in soil cultivation and are ready to invest in modernizing production for better and measurable results,” commented Mykhailo Kryshko, Director of BEDNAR Ukraine.

Upgrading the machinery fleet is an important step in implementing Astarta’s strategy, which combines economic efficiency with environmental care. Investments in modern equipment have already reached approximately USD 22 million. This contribution not only enhances productivity and flexibility in agricultural production but also helps reduce greenhouse gas emissions, minimize soil tillage, and promote the rational use of resources. In this way, Astarta consistently implements precision and regenerative farming approaches aimed at preserving soil health and ensuring stable agricultural production in the long term.
