In August 2006, it became the first Ukrainian issuer to conduct an IPO on the exchange, paving a new stage in its development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Astarta marks the anniversary in Warsaw with an opening bell ceremony and a business forum attended by representatives of the Warsaw Stock Exchange, shareholders, financing and business and partners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Since its IPO, Astarta has significantly expanded and diversified its business. Today, the Company operates in agriculture, sugar production, dairy farming, soybean processing, bioenergy, and logistics. Its public status has laid a foundation for Astarta\u2019s long-term cooperation with international financial institutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>\u201cToday, Astarta\u2019s annual turnover stands at around half a billion euros \u2014 ten times higher than at the time of our listing. The IPO was one of the most important strategic decisions in the Company\u2019s history. It gave us access to the European capital market and shaped Astarta\u2019s development model as a public company,\u201d<\/em> said<strong> Mr. Viktor Ivanchyk, the founder, majority shareholder and CEO of Astarta.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">An important part of Astarta\u2019s success on the Warsaw Stock Exchange is the trust of investors who became shareholders of the Company over the past 20 years and have gone through different market ups and downs together. Global and Polish institutional funds are the Company\u2019s largest shareholders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The IPO of 2006 allowed Astarta to not only raise capital for the development but foster strong relationships links between Ukrainian businesses and European capital markets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>\u201cAstarta\u2019s 20-year presence on the Warsaw Stock Exchange is a remarkable example of how long-term commitment to transparency, good corporate governance and open dialogue with investors can create lasting value, even in the most challenging circumstances. As the first Ukrainian agricultural company listed on GPW, Astarta helped build an important bridge between Ukrainian businesses and European capital markets. As we celebrate this anniversary, we also recognize the broader significance of strong capital-market links between Poland and Ukraine.
